Ceramic fiber strips should not shed. Buy them from industrial supply companys not the $$hot rod$$ guys

Ceramic fiber strips. Thanks for the education. The combined experience and knowledge of this group as a whole is what helps us all make better decisions on what will work for each of us individually. And that is one of the reasons I come here.

Do you think the removal of the lower fairings will help some? Local HD guy told me today, Harley recommends removal of them for riding in temp range of 60 and above. Your thoughts?

Welcome aboard! IME this has always helped my rides. I live in Florida and USE TO remove mine as soon as I got each bike (7 in the last 6 years). It has always run cooler without the lowers but I too like the looks of them and now try and work around that. Did you have lowers on your other bike? Sorry if I missed that.

One other thing, don't listen to Howie (Hoist) cause he has no idea how to take care of a bagger!!  :huepfenlol2:
