Flags - on Stock SERG
« on: September 20, 2009, 08:26:25 AM »

Has anyone found a flag setup that works on the SERG?  I dont really want to add a rack on the back just to be able to mout a flag...

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Are you running w/ a tour pak? If so; http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524441845055&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302507601&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374302507601&bmUID=1253457978266&bmLocale=en_US

This also mounts under a saddlebag lid. If you get it DON'T FORGET TO USE THE CLEAR TAPE!!!

Without a rack or other tubular mounting point, this is the one I found that would work on the SEEG.  Definitely need to make certain the protective film is applied and the side-to-side locators are installed properly so you don't chip or wear off any paint.  And btw, the flag that comes with this is fairly durable except for unraveling at the folded over edges.  If you want it to hold up for anything other than 5 mph parade duty, get someone to do some additional machine stitching along those edges.  Since I did that, mine has held up pretty well under constant use.  That includes a few trips into triple digit territory.
