If you want to keep cost down, buy the 10 inch bars. Mine are 15 and I had to buy extended cables and wire extensions. But if you want the look and feel..... Go for the 15 inch bars.  :orange:

@ 911 Hawk ,
did you have any problems to move the left side handcontrol ( far enough ) onto the bar ? Did the hydraulic clutch-"tank" touch the bar ?

or Jim Glide , did yours ?

Just got my 16" Paul Yaffe OEM Monkey Bars.  I will be putting them on my SERG either this week or next.  I bought the PY supersize kit which includes everything needed (wires, heatshrink, clutch and brake lines) to put them on.  Pictures to follow.

I'm curious, how much was the PY Supersize Kit with everything you needed for the install??

Also could you post a list of parts you used for the conversion?   :nixweiss:

Thanks now mine will have to be done and soon!  :2vrolijk_21:

Here's a list of the Parts needed to complete the installation for the 14" Paul Yaffe Handlebars with the Heat Demons:

Polyurethane Riser Isolators: Part # 56298-03
Brake Line, Diamond             : Part # 41770-09
Brake Line, 40"                      : Part # 1741-0058
Clutch Line S/S BT                  : Part # 1741-0471
Twist Grip Sensor Kit (TBW)   : Part # 32310-08
Symtec Heat Demons             : Part # 210045CRET. I purchased the right side clamp control because my Rider's Claw I-Pod holder is mounted on the left side of my handlebars.
I also remember purchasing a banjo fitting for one of the brake lines mentioned above, but I don't have that Part #.
I hope this helps and good luck with your project.  :2vrolijk_21:
PS. I purchase the 8" wire extension kit, but they weren't needed after all.

Did you purchase your heat demons from the heat demon web site or another vendor? did you get a discount?

Thanks, Face

I purchased them through SYMTEC INC.
                                      227 University Avenue NE
                                      Fridley, MN  55432
                                      763-571-9193

My only complaint is these don't heat my grips nearly as warm as two other brands I've previously used, but I had to try the Heat Demons because of the TBW. I believe I paid $125.00.

I believe the other brands worked better (or heated my grip much warmer) because they were a solid heating element that took up the whole inside diameter of the handlebars where the handgrip are located. The Heat Demons are just a super thin heat shield. The heating elements that I previously used were actually made for snow-mobils and needed there own toggle switch for Low/off/High. I remember they worked so good, that you couldn't put them on high...even in extremely cool weather. Low and off were the only two setting I ever used. What's funny is....I remember the heating element was only about $30.00+some shrink wrap for the wiring. I don't remember the brand, but I purchased it at some snow mobil store/supply shop. This set up isn't an option for our bikes because of the TBW set up. :(

Thanks! I called them direct yesterday and spoke with Roland (http://www.heatdemons.com/). He gave me a 15% discount and free shipping. I ordered them and got my bars ordered from Yaffe also! I am excited and can't wait!!!! :pepper: :pepper: :pineapple:
