Compression release blew out of rear head @ 42,000 miles on my 09

Traveling yesterday the compression release blew out and stripped all the threads...Overnighted new head and compression release and should be back on the road this afternoon....gotta love it

It's no wonder.................Most of the heads I do with electronic compression releases can't have much more than 5 -10 ft. lbs. of torque. :o I guess their release tool won't pull more than that without flexing,and ruining the release. :-[

Not many guys could stay in the saddle for that many miles in a year.

It appears the compression release must have worked it's way loose, and then striped all of the threads on the head...DS replaced the release and overnighted a new head and go figure it the gasket set was on back order.....Well HD has them put on hold until next Friday for a improved set coming out.....yeah right.....but got it back together in a day and a half, and back on the scenic routes

Mine blew one out at 8500 mi, threads and all too, on my '07. Welded the holes and installed manuals. FTACR's!!! ;)
