Necessary to lower the Front with the Back?
« on: September 23, 2009, 05:03:43 PM »

Wanted to hear some opinions!
I have an FLHTCUSE3.
Which I added the rear lowering shocks.
Do I need to lower the front as well, and if so what are the advantages/disadvantages?

Thanks for your comments.

Actually, no but the reverse is true.  You can lower the rear like the Street Glide and 2010 Road Glide without lowering the front but not the other way around.  In the HD accessory book, for example, there is a warning about lowering the front without lowering the rear but not the opposite.  I'm dealing with the reverse situation here:
Factory Put The Wrong Rear Shocks On My '09 SERG ! ?.  I have a lowered front but not rear and HD is replacing my rear 13" shocks with 12" today.

My street glide shows no ill effects from just the back drop , the same is true of the Deluxe.
I do plan on dropping the front an inch with a Racetech kit .
