HID lights for my SERG. Whick ones?
« on: September 26, 2009, 12:07:54 PM »

I've decided to upgrade my lighting and I'm not sure which product / supplier to go with. I've read most of the posts and I'm even more unsure. I read one about the lights not staying on after starting and stories about adding extra relays.  I'm looking for a complete package that is easy to install and improves the lighting. The cost seems to be all over the board too, from $139 - up. Also what color is the best. Any suggestions on which way to go? Thanks

for my setup i used the HIDs from xtralights. expensive yes, but it was plug and play. i have on a rare occasion had them go out when starting the bike, but on a restart they are fine.

color is personal prefernece i used 8000K

attached is a comparison of stock single H-4/H-D dual halogen/8000K HID

I have been looking for a good setup as well. From what I've researched 6000 seems to be the whitest light. Above 6000 appears to be emitting more blue light.

4300k is the whitest (and brightest) light, anything higher starts to look blue. (and are not as bright....) :bananarock:
