several manufactures make water proof 6 1/2" speakers. mine are . the key is to get shallow mount. my speakers are 1 5/8" deep. this will allow you to mount them without interfering with the glove boxes.

What is the head unit and does it have gps and touch screen? How much power and can you wire it with a fader even though the speakers are in the front? Seems like all bases are covered with the Ipod hidden and operated from the handelbar controls, gps, dvd,and cd player with remote from the bars.

Yes it has touch screen and GPS. Fader controls are built in to the head unit.

new upgrade. i put a 8" subwoofer in my saddlebag. I used the bag as a ported band pass box. i have added an additional amp to drive the sub. it is an arc audio 500 watt mono amp. this baby sounds as good as a car. people cant believe the sound, the bass is awesome. oh , by the way i bought another set of saddle bags off ebay. so i can quick disconnect this bag and put my original back on in about 5 minutes.

The shallow mount speakers grill will not clear the forks when turned. That's why I need the model number. Thanks,

you can go to your local stereo shop and buy some generic grilles that are flat. thats what i did. i cant remember the model, but had the same problem.

Well I did it thanks to BADBAGG, cut into the inner fairing and installed 6.5 speakers. Not for the faint at heart :'( but did one side for now and all is well. :2vrolijk_21:
