I'm Alive!

I even got to eat breakfast before I went to work.

I was very careful when leaving the house though.  I don't normally do this............but I left the garage door open.   :huepfenlol2:

I guess time just gets away from me sometimes.  Either that, or I'm startin' to forget stuff and then remembering it at crucial moments.  Still have that Army issue internal alarm clock, so there's really no excuse for being behind the 8 ball, but this morning.........I was.
I think I'm in trouble.   :-\

Ya think Henry?  :huepfenlol2:

I've been on pretty good behavior until that point.  Hopefully I haven't nixed conditional funding for future projects.  Therein would lie a high sucktivity factor.   :huepfenlol2:  I've secured approval for Mag-HiTec front and rear differential covers and transmission oil pan for the ton truck at 90K mile service and if the Purple Bike finally blows the shifter shaft seal, I'll score a new Baker OD6 and 3.37 primary gearing.  Would be heartbreaking if my oversight lead the JROC to disapprove my requirements.....especially since I POM'd almost a year in advance.  All I can do is pray.   :(  I've been mending fences.  I think it is working.  Trip this weekend is necessary, even though it will include a fun factor, so that isn't going to affect the decision.  I'll just have to really suck up when I get home Saturday.  Perhaps a big ribeye or T-Bone will move us pass my stupidity.   :nixweiss:

I have taken up bow hunting...a WHOLE new source of economic stimulus...the first deer will only cost about 900.00 a pound

 ;) ;) ;)

And that's if you don't mount it.

Not as bad as dove or quail per pound.

wife informed me that while she will eat what I shoot, she doesn't want to see it mounted on a wall...

Guess I need to get a full standing mount then...

Yes, I understand.  My wall collection ceased about ten years ago.

Hunting, in general, ended the first hunting season after Renea and I were married 13 years ago.  We own a chunk of land not far from our old Tennessee home (the one we sold last year) off of which I took a NICE buck back in 1996.  Took it home, stuck my chest out.........Renea started crying.

Donated the deer to the county and haven't hunted since.  Breaks my heart to see the Girl upset.   :bigcry:

I'm sweating the kids reactions - freaking Bambi and Disney crap sets them against hunting.  Like food just ends up on the table magically.  Will be a good life lesson for them.

Son wants to come with me, but not shoot - daughter wants to shoot but not come with me.  Need to get another kid maybe?

Wife could care less, have killed many other things she has been glad to consume (loves quail).
