Well cant decide on a used 09 SERG with low miles & upgrades or just buy a new one & do the upgrades myself. Found a new one for $29,500 plus TTL... Used ones are running from a low of $28.5K to $ 30's... If buy new will have to shell out more $$$$ for fullsac upgrade plus tuner... If buy used these things are already done.. Most used ones are O & B. I was leaning towards the Silver thou....Need some help...Iam currently riding an 09  GL1800...

Buy used if you find one with mods you would do. You'll save $'s. The guys who buy these bikes generally take good care of them. I always prefer to let someone else take the first major $ depreciation hit. JMHO.

My thinking also to let someone else take the depreciation. But all used ones are the orange & black. Was wanting the Silver....What to do now....The new one is a good deal for under MSRP & its the color iam looking for. But my luck a Silver used one will come up after i pull the trigger...

Be patient Grasshopper. Silver/Black ones show up from time to time. They were the most desirable color combination but I have seen them used on ebay and in dealers and on chopper exchange. Put the word out to this community and they'll find you a nice one. We all love spending other people's money!

Looks like to O/B for $35,995 is a real steal with 1845 miles .  It reminds me of another dealer along the sea coast of New Hampshire  who was wanting the same price.

The O&B is in Houston & i saw the bike. Its very clean but stock. My opinion its way over priced & i told them that. Its on consignment for a good customer they say... The rock bottom price on it is $34k. Still toooooooooo much...

Probably really doesn't much matter whether it's new or used, now that they're out of production.  If you find a new one at MSRP plus tax and license, you're already ahead.  And, regardless of the color, it sure beats the 2010 SESG in the WOW! factor (JMHO) and doesn't have the new O2 sensors.

Well found a SERG that i would like to purchase but iam trying to make a smart decision on this. This is the situation iam in, i currently am riding an 09 GL1800 & really like the bike. ( power, comfort, etc...). But there is just something that keeps pulling me towards getting another HD. Always wanted to try the RG since it has the fixed fairing. I've had 3 SEUC over the past 3 years & have either traded them in or sold outrite. (lost my shorts doing this)  Wish i woulda kept the 07 red & black SEUC i had... I've also had 2 other GL1800's as well. 

The SERG i found has an aftermarket seat on it that doesnt work for me ( owner doesn't have original seat)  at all & would like to get a Road Zepplin seat at a cost of $600.00. I test rode the SERG yesterday & it seemed to sit a little low for me, iam 6'3". Iam just a little gun shy on getting the SERG & after riding it not really liking it as much. Guess could always sell it if i didnt like it...

Thinking about renting a regular RG for the day to see if its rite for me or not....

I have the B/O '07 SEUC (best ever made to date ) and this past Spring rented the '09 RG. We rode to CHL on an 1100 mile round trip. While there, I rode the Screamin Eagle version on the RG as well. Coming from an Ultra, I was not impressed by the RG. Everyone that I know who has owned one has said they were the best bike that HD makes and I would love the fixed fairing. I was not as thrilled. If you have an 1800 now and have had 3 SEUC's, you are going to be hard pressed to find the creature comforts that you're accustom to. Don't mean to rain on your parade. Test ride the RG for a good while before you decide.

Also let someone else work the bugs out. There have been more than a handful of SERGs that have been back to the barn more times than the owners would like for nagging stuff.

1K off MSRP.  I think I could have gotten more but I'm happy with it.  I'm in the Muletown chapter.  I work with a lady that is in the chapter and had rode with them a couple of times back when I had my beemer.  It's a good group and not so big you get lost in it.
