Just spoke to my customer yesterday, the York plant will be closing for 2 weeks over Thanksgiving and 2 weeks over Christmas.  Apparantly, they are talking about closing from Thanksgiving through Christmas.

Given the economy, etc, a full closure for a month would not surprise me.

While I feel bad for the employees, as a business owner, I can understand it!

sounds like a touchy situation for a while! hopefully the economy will turn for the better soon!!

No, but one of my customer's husband works 3rd shift in the paint shop.  The funny thing is, HD is considering closing the plant because labor rates are too high and yet her husband can get all the overtime he wants.  Sounds like a management problem and not a rate problem.

IT always is when the compensation isn't results based..kinda like ...well I cant; say that here....
