They pulled a normal 05 pin out and it was short ... Then they went to the 04 / and 05 supplemental for CSE and the pin was longer and worked.   I then took both pins backout side just to see and the shorter of the 2 just wouldnt catch the mounting wire on the backplate that locks them in place.   Was good enough for me at the time to prove I had to be sure I needed the right pins.

Hi, I just checked my parts book too and the International (without the built-in bail handle) is an 02 - the US spec pin is an 00, the identical looking pin on my HDI 98 Classic is shown in the relevant parts book as 90834-95

Anybody know why we (HDIs) have to suffer the removal of the bail? - Means having to use a coin or washer to turn the pin which can be a pita

My HDI 94 RK had regular pins with the bails

Great site BTW - loads of great info

Thanks

Dave
They know that they can't trust you International types with 'bails'.  Har!  spyder

He said he looked up an Electra Glide which he said was the standard pin for all FL's.   It did not match the one I had from the other side it was shorter and hence the search for the right pin began.   From there I nudged him to the SE Supplement and we found a new part number which matched Exactly to what I had.

/shrug just know I gotta be more prepared when asking for stuff or not leave until I verify its exactly what i need / want.
