Dentless repair is the way to go. Is the paint cracked?, that makes a big difference. The other issue is the factory tank sealer is very brittle and probably cracked and maybe flaked on the inside. I used the Kreem tank sealer to touch up spots where the sealer had peeled off. As long as you can get to the spot on the inside you can do most anything.

The paint is cracked..... Gonna be a winter insurance claim

Now if I can get harley to suck up to my front tire getting 6k!

Friend of mine had to replace his tire at 6,000 miles due to cupping caused by loose steering head bearings.This was on a new bike.Dealer said it was a maintenance issue not a warranty issue !?!?!?

Mine was replaced over 6K with no charge. They know the issue and will replace it if you argue. It's a shame that you have to do that to get them to do the right thing.
