Bad month for my cages...
« on: October 13, 2009, 12:05:29 PM »

Let's see,

2000 Jeep Wrangler
-   90000+ miles, time for tires...cha-ching...but I knew it was coming...as opposed to some of the following:

2003 Tahoe
-  Drivers side power window Broken, unable to self repair
-  Rear door handle broken - self repaired
-  ABS kicks in between 10 and 5 mph on dry pavement .... bad sensors or rings, unable to self repair
-  Rattling noise underhood...may be waterpump
Not yet brought to dealer to learn the Cha-Ching

2005 F-350 HD edition brought in for annual inspection ...
-  Woops, MA now requires Wheel Chocks to be carried .. need to buy
-  Woops, Horn Broken [I use the finger anyway], Horn dead, but something else causing issue (Clockspring or relay)...Cha-Ching
-  Worn Ball joints...can't pass inspection without repairing ... CHA-CHING
-  Bell housing drip...neep to remove cab and repair...WARRANTEED  :huepfenjump3: ...but still $100 deductable

2009 Ford Focus
-  Get a call from Anne this morning that on her way to work the Check Engine Light came on...I sure hope this is a Fuel Cap issue!

But the ULTRA is Cleaned and Detailed with fancy new hinges since I will probably be riding it all winter long!  Anybody know the best snow tire to get for the Bike?

To Clarify it is only if you are over 10K GVWR .. but I am still trying to find the regulation

Cause you know they'll probably never get used. :nixweiss:

But the up side is you got those spoilers for the SESG! :2vrolijk_21:

Seriously...if I new it was going to be multiple hundreds of dollars, I would have installed train horns myself!

Truck is home...wallet WAY lighter!

Good news is that Anne's Check Engine light is off...may have been gas cap...fingers crossed!

Bill,

The window should be no big deal.

If you haven't already done the ball joints, let me know. At 250k on mine, I've done them 4 times now. It's easy.

Focus...CES Light went out with tightening Anne's gas cap

Jeep...new sneakers

Truck...Ball Joints and Horn fixed...i will deal with the TBC

Tahoe...A/C Compressor was making the grinding noise...which did stop....when it Seized Up....ABS Sensors replaced and window fixed...

 >:( :( :( >:(  But yesterday was still October!  We took the Tahoe to the HD shop to pick up the SESG...and as Anne started to leave, the Brake pedal went to the floor and there was a nice puddle of Brake fluid under the front end...called AAA and had it towed to the nearest shop where it now sits.  I sure hope when they replaced the sensors they did not screw something up...

The SESG rode like a champ!
