Sta-Bil or Sea Foam
« on: October 13, 2009, 07:32:00 PM »

As always if a moderator sees fit this be some place else please place it in the right place.

What do you guys use  Sta-Bil or Seafoam  or ????
I have always used Sta-Bil to winterize my bike.  (For those of you in warm climates, that's when we put our bikes up for a few months and yes it Sucks), but talked a couple of Buddy's that recommend Seafoam. Any thoughts?  Let's Roll

SeaFoam is an old old product.  Have never used it as a fuel stabilizer though.  Good top end additive when such things are necessary.  Decent injector cleaner that's not as harsh as some of the over the counter products.  Few doses help with carbon removal.  Generally helpful product that's been around for years.  As a stabilizer is a new use to me though.  Would need to do a little homework.

The Marina that stored my boat years ago swore by seafoam as a fuel stabilizer for winter storage, I have used it in my bikes, snowblowers, mowers etc. since 92.

If the grip warmers work, and heated seat on the Green Bike works, my bikes are winterized.   :2vrolijk_21:

I just keep my gas tank topped off during the winter and the battery charged and try to get out on the nice days and use the fuel. For gasoline storage, I use PRI-G Gasoline Treatment.
