RideLoud Review
« on: October 13, 2009, 07:48:37 PM »

As some of you know, I installed the RideLoud 6x8 adapters on my 09 SERG. I have a HogTunes Amp and speakers installed with HogTunes speakers in my lower fairings. Just wasn't loud enough over 70, hey, I like to crank the tunes.
I got the adapters from RideLoud along with the speaker grills, and then ordered infinity speakers and using the Hogtunes amp.
There's been alot of talk about these adapters and I'd like give my hands on perspective. I'll be posting pics with captions.
First off, I gotta throw a monkey wrench in the works by wanting my chrome speaker grills installed, which, the RideLoud grills won't work with but, work just fine without the fancy dan grills.

I then realized that the stock covers worked fine against my grills but it needed to be seperated from the backing plate with is not needed when using the adapters. I noticed that there was a seam around it

Since I have spent many years in construction, I knew exactly what to do. high density foam.
Peel and stick (that's southern for plug and play too) nice tight seal

I'm going to be changing amps as the HogTunes amp lacks a bit in the wattage category. thinking hard about the bazooka amp. Gotta have wattage in my cottage.
My .02 worth, these adapters work and it's whats needed to step up
That is all, LarryB-out

Thank you for the review Larry.    I'm looking for some bigger volume in the higher speeds as well....   this may be exactly what I am looking for.
