Blue Ridge in October????
« on: October 18, 2009, 05:29:00 PM »

Not sure if I ever remember the Blue Ridge looking like this on the top in October.   Leaves arent even at the peak yet and it has snowed.
Normally at this time of year there should be a parade of Harley's and BMW's enjoying the scenory.  Only saw one Gold Wing the entire weekend.

Not a very good weekend to ride...IMO...rainy and windy...I'll ride in that if I get caught in it, but won't start a trip out in it.... :-\  Was thinking of next weekend to head up there, but it doesn't look much better on the extended forecast...:(

You got it firedood.    The ice line was much further down around noon today but the fog would have blocked a good picture.   Long live the woodstove!

Thought so... Talked to my daughter early she said they had snow last night in Harrisonburg. Been cool and damp on this side of the mountain. :( Nothing like a woodstove when it gets cold though. :2vrolijk_21:
