You're right, it will be a while before the next ride.  Clearview makes their shields in the standard sizes as the MOCO (6, 9 1/2, 12)..  For $30 extra they will make it to your size.  The eurolip is no extra charge.  According to them, the lip does the same thing as having a 1-2" higher shield.  Contact John@clearview.com by email and he will answer any questions you have.  They don't have much of a website but are great to work with.   You can install their windshield, try it out, and send back as long as you don't take the protective wrapper off.

Hey BOAT:::
    I have the same shield,, but havent installed it yet.  I am in the same ~BOAT~  as you with all the white stuff outside. We have like 15"  on the ground right now,, with more coming Sunday  nite and Monday!!  I also bought a couple of new shields from  www.fastaire.com/  , of different sizes,, just to try next year.
    Lets hope for a early Spring here in the Buckeye State !!!

Boatman, what was the cost, including the $30 for the lip, for the shield you have there?

A 9 1/2" is too short and a 12" is too tall for me, so this looks like it might be a great alternative.

Wonder what deflecting the air flow in that trailing edge of the fairing is gonna do for the dreaded 'high speed wobble' in the fork-mounting fairing bikes?  What we need is a CVO wind tunnel to test these things.  :-? Har!  spyder

Thanks for the b'down on the pricing, Boatman.  I'd mis-read your earlier post thinking the $30 was for the lip, but it's for the custom height.  Sounds like a good option; priced about what the H-D shields are, but with the euro-lip and any variation in height I suppose you can come up with.  I'll investigate further . . . . . . . . thanks again! I wonder if john@clearviewshields.com would consider "running an ad" in the Vendor Discount section?

I plan on purchasing one when my bike comes in.

Perhaps someone who has already been a customer would write him, mentioning their postitive experience, linking to the vendor section, and asking if he would like to post a discount offer to the membership for the large group of riders to be aware of?
