Before I read this thread I ordered an 8 in smoked shield with euro lip for my 04 SEEG which I expect to work as well as the 9.5 in clear hd shield I have now.  I'm 6'2" and I get very little buffeting with the 9.5 in shield sitting on stock seat.  Since the euro lip is supposed to direct the air 1.5 in higher I figure the 8 in will have the same effect as the 9.5 in.  Also, I ordered a corbin stinger seat which will sit me lower in the bike.  Good theory, I'll let you know how it works in practice!  Btw, I got 10% off and John is great to work with.  I really like the fact that as long as you don't remove the protective film, you can test ride and return if necessary to make sure you get what you want.  Don't know anyone else offering that deal.

Pete,
Welcome to the site, Do you plan on hitting the road with it today? If so post up how it went. Lots of curious riders wanting to know others opinions.
John sounds like a confident man giving that choice to return it wrapped. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Mark,

Didn't get the shield yet, just ordered last week and John said it would take 2-3 weeks.  The corbin seat won't come until the first of the month, but I expect that if the 8 in shield works with my stock seat, it will work even better with the lower corbin.  As soon as I get it, I will test and post.

Just put my 9.5 inch clearview on with the euro-lip.  Great stuff, guys!  I pulled off a 10" straight windshield to put the new one on and I got:
Less wind
less noise
and less buffetting from oncoming traffic.
I really like the product.  It is a little narrower at the top than the stock, but still gave me less wind in the face.  It also changed the direction of the wind in my face.  Before it was kind of a straight on buffet, now it is a gentle breeze upwards, but not enough at 70 to knowck the ashes off my cigar.
Overall, I give them 5 stars!

Used the discount to order two this morning; a smoked 8" with recurve and a clear 14" with 5 position adjustable vent option.

Skylane-You're right, this site sure can spend your/our money.  You think John at Clearview will give me a commision for all these orders?  I didn't even get the 10% group discount   ::)  ..
