Trailer Hitch for 2010 CVOUC
« on: October 23, 2009, 03:48:47 PM »

Does anyone know of a trailer hitch, preferably with a removable ball mount, that will work on a 2010 CVOUC. I have a american legend trailer that I pulled behind my 03 and I used a hitch doc hitch. They do not make any for the SE

I emailed Hitch Doc a few weeks ago and they are working on it.  I think Bushtec has one and you can order without the bushtec "pin" and the ball will fit, my concern is will it have the clearance needed between the ball and the fender, just a thought.   I'm selling my bushtec (and I just had it painted black cherry this summer) and buying an American Legend. I contacted them a few weeks ago and I think they have the paint codes for the 2010 SEs now.  They launched their new web page recently, looks nice.

You will love the american legend trailer. They are under new ownership since I bought mine, but I have spoken to them about painting mine to match the CVO. From the pictures they sent me, they do a nice job. He said that they have a hitch, but I do not think it is a hidden type, which I would rather have if possible

mine was a hidden hitch, liked it a lot.   A friend of mine has an A/L and he loves it also.  I have had bushtec's for years and years but I have always hated adjusting the air shocks.  They are good trailers but for me, the A/L is a better fit for my needs and in my opinion, looks better with a Harley.  I'll be following this but please let me know what you find, I'm on the same path as you.

Yep, got one of those too.

Should work on the 2010 model.

Hidden hitch?

Yeah pretty much hidden, the ball comes off and all you have left is the Frame, which is tucked away under the rear fender.

Barely noticeable.   Here is a picture.

hitch on a 2010 cvo ultra
« Reply #8 on: April 16, 2010, 06:46:11 PM »

I will be getting a 2010 black cvo ultra and I have been looking for a hitch. I have always used Hitch Doc hitches before but they are telling me that they do not have 1 for a screaming eagle..  They said because the SE does not have the rubber bumper on the fender..  Does anyone know of any hitches that will work??? Thanks Mark

If yes, tell me where they are.
If no, then post some!
