And another vote for Crusty is cast.
I gotta say, I read your whole RR on the Alaskan Titty Bar Tour, which was a very comical read, and I do love the irony. You gave the "Hardly" rider quite a bit of grief and look what you are now!
Some day I would like to try that ride on the SERG. Looks like you all had a great time.
Thanks!
Yes, it was quite the turn of events... I have talked a lot of good natured dookie about HDs... and truthfully never really thought I'd buy one; I thought they were cool and all, but I guess I bought in to all the anti-hype about how rough a ride they are (were). Then I came to Japan, started chatting with the overseas sales guy, who got my wheels to spinning... and then once I saw the yeller SERG, I was hooked. So never having so much as thrown my leg over a HD, I dropped my $30K and the rest is history. I look forward to getting back to the States to start running up the odometer!!
The TBT was definitely an amazing experience! Gotta say it was a minor miracle the only time any of the bikes spent on the ground was in the Tim Horton's parking lot... because there are some pretty hairy road conditions up there... you're one bad mo-fo if your seriously considering taking your SERG up there... maybe you can talk on of the tire companies into turning out some knobbies for it!
