heel toe shifter

I tried to install a heel shifter.  the spline isn't long enough.  Or enough of it doesn't stick out of the chrome piece that comes up from below.  Any ideas?

 :bananarock: I was going to install one on mine then backed out, but you have to buy the chrome shaft for a regular fatboy or softail if you need me to i can get you a part #  but you can get it from local dealer
