SERG/Road Glide Specific Rain cover
« on: October 27, 2009, 11:36:34 AM »

Has anyone found a rain cover for the SERG that fits?  HD says the below Oasis cover won't fit the Road Glide.

(Fits Touring models (except Road Glide®) equipped with Tour-Pak® luggage.)

Try "Exigent" bike covers, He has seat only, seat & tourpak backrest only, full end to end upper rain cover only and full bike covers. I have one of his "outside" waterproof covers that I take along, It packs very small in its own bag, turns the rain and is cheap. Buddy of mine has the seat to tourpak backrest pad cover, about $28 and it also works good, has a securing strap etc. They have a web page and are at most of the larger bike shows. I tore mine a while back on the exhaust, he shipped me patch material free, no shipping, wife sewed it and sprayed with scotchgard, hard to tell it was ever damaged.

I use a covercraft cover for my bike at work... # 157... the # 151 is recommended but WILL NOT fit the RG becaues of the fairing position.

Note: The 157 is for a tour-pack equipped bike... so it really doesnt fit snug... until I buy my chopped T/P

Thanks guys,
I'll check them out.  I'm looking for something to cover the bike while at work or on a trip that doesn't take up too much space :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Another vote for the Exigent covers.  Excellent people to work with.  Really nice folks.  And they offer covers that work well, are inexpensive and fold small.  I've got two of their bike cover and three of their saddle covers.

Bought Geza Gear(elite plus series) for the SERG and Suzie's Streetglide.  Not cheap but then neither were the "Glides.  Squish bag provided

I just ordered an Exigent rain cover for our "overnighters" and week long rides.  Looks like a great product at a reasonable price.  They do ask for make/model of your bike on the order form.  I received an email back the next morning stating that since this was a Road Glide, it needed the GoldWing cover to handle the extended fairing.  They did assure me that it is designation only and NO Goldwing emblem on the cover!!  That's good customer service.

I also forwarded this site to a friend as Exigent offers covers for Ape Hanger bikes and sidecars, which he has a few of.

No pixs as not received yet.

Exigent is the way to go for sure. I have several. a full coverage, and a top half cover. And I have the seat covers as well as the tourpak backrest cover. Awesome covers when going away for a road trip...pack light and give great protection....bought mine in Daytona back in 2000, and still holding up well :orange:
