Hoist,
As the owner of a Tri Glide I would tell you that the first generation steering dampners had problems,,, in high temps the oil leaked out of them. The second generation has not had any problems, make sure you get the latest one.

Thanks for the reply Tom. I ordered it this week from a dealer that said they'd need to order it for me. So I assume it will be the latest version. How can I be sure? Do you have P/N's? Is there an "A" after the year in the P/N now? Thanks.

EDIT: I just spoke to Jenni and she said that she ordered it from the factory today and should received the most current part. Thanks for the heads up.

I will also be looking at installing another type to try, possibly before trying this one. Stay tuned on that.

I see why you're interested after reading your post in "2009 Road Glide". But this is only an experiment by me. It can only have hope AFTER all the the required things are done right (neck bearing adjustment, alignment, balancing, etc), insuring that the bike is "setup" properly to begin with. Then we shal see if this helps any. Stay tuned to see how this all works out. Might take some time though before I have any definitive info to report back!

Haven't received it yet Don. Got a buncha parts from Jenni, but not everything. Chip sent me a Progressive damper too, that I'd like to match up to the HD one to see if that'll interchange. I like the mounting of the TriGlide one, but not the Progressive one. I'm waiting on the parts to see if the dampers themselves will interchange. The HD one is non-adjustable, unlike the Progressive one. After I get all the parts, I'll start playing with it!

HeHe!!! Cause they can't afford to hire me to test all they're chit out! You can be sure if I were testing HD's chit, half of it would NEVER even hit the streets!!!
