Interesting idea but I stand up on my boards to stretch while I'm riding on long country roads. Could be catastrophic.

I would not suggest trying this type of product.  This is my opinion and I do not cast riding or lack of riding skills towards anyone.  It may appear attractive to a rider whom has never raced or pushed the limits of his/her bike.  You need to apply weight to one or both floorboard(s) in various situations and this type of product seems like it would compromise that and potentially put the rider in harms way.

I could see someone "riding with his foot on the brakes" and causing premature wear. Then I wonder what happens for those riders who scrape the floorboards in heavy cornering? Could it cause a braking or shifting accident?
Just my .02 but overall seems like an accident waiting to happen.

I saw this stuff down in Daytona last year.

Personally I wouldn't think about it, Stupid and Dangerous. JMO.

Early this riding season, I rode with a guy who uses these boards. Looks real clean. Discussed all the concerns posted here. This guys been riding 30 years. He loves these boards. To each their own. FWIW

Yeah... I can't see it being as safe as independent pedals. I wouldn't try it if it was free.

I move around to much for that system.Ride a lot with my heels on the front of the boards & my toes on the hi-way pegs.

I been riding way too long to change the way I ride - I would be concerned about shifting or braking especially as someone posted earlier when I got into the throttle.

HAVE THEM WITH ABOUT 3000 MILES RIDING WITH THEM AND COULD NOT LOVE THEM MORE.  I RECENTLY WAS ON A POKER RUN AND WAS FORCED TO MAKE A PANIC STOP DUE TO MORONS IN FRONT OF ME GOING TOO HOT THROUGH A TIGHT CURVE.  I WAS ABLE TO STOP QUICKER THAN WITH THE STOCK BRAKE PEDAL SETUP WHICH SAVED ME FROM BEING IN THE WRECK.  BY THE WAY I HAVE BEEN RIDING FOR OVER 40 YEARS AND HAVE BEEN TO DAYTONA 39 YEARS IN A ROW AND HAD MY OWN AFTERMARKET SHOP FOR SEVEN YEARS.  EVERYONE IS CERTAINLY ENTITLED TO THEIR OPINION IN THIS WORLD.....HOWEVER MINE IS FROM EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT.
THANKS....DAN BAAN

Don't know what repetitive trips to Daytona have to do with these footboards but do have a question based on your limited 3000 miles with them.  What happens if you want to stretch your legs or knees a bit or take the weight off your ass for a second and lean forward on the footboards while going down the road?
