Hello to all and Happy Holidays . . My name is Russ aka "CJ" or Ceej and I want to thank everyone here for the wealth of info that has led to my increased Harley Taxation. My girlfriend and I have been contemplating a new scoot for a while, looking at some "choppers" and a few vintage rides I have been looking at but then we saw an 06 FLHTCUSE Autumn Haze at the local dealer that got our attention. That one was sold 10 minutes before we walked in but it got us thinking a new toouring ride would be the best bet. I then started thinking about a street glide and also what I would want to do to it right out of the box. My FLHR has been reworked quite extensively and now screams like it should albiet a little tempermentally. After running the numbers I started thinking the CVO was ahead of the game from the get go and no matter what I did to the Street Glide it would never have the resale it should - this is when I started looking for more infoe on CVO's and found this site, looked at bikes for sale and saw how the CVO's were holding there value, and some where along the line we both found the Pumpkin model real appealing. Then one day we stumbled on one for sale, and before we knew it we made a deal sight unseen a thousand miles away. Talked to the owner and a buddy who has an 05 SEEG (who I just reffered here too) and felt okay about it but getting it would take a few weeks, I had to be on the road and my buddy was going to get it for me - Thanks much Turk if you see this. Anyhow it arrived today - what a Christmas present!! Now I have to figure out what to buy first as the girl really wants the Holiday Tank set Harley is giving away - so I need to blow $500 by the end of next week to cash in on that - shouldn't be a problem!! Congratulations on the new pumpkin and welcome to the site.

Its a wonderful christmas present  you have just been given.  Mr. WeCVO will be very jelous knowing you just took another one out of the population.

There was only one downfall in all of this and since I own both a pumpkin and a red I have to tell you the Red's are faster hehe

Congratulations CEEJ and welcome to this most wonderful web site.  It is a great place to get to know a few folks, who like you, have discovered that the CVO line is pretty fabulous.  Yes, you will see all of complain from time to time about one thing or another on our bikes or about our bikes, but overall..... they are fabulous.  You have a great looking bike.  

Yes Unbalanced, my husband is sorry that and yet another pumkin is living in someone else's garage and not ours.  I think he is getting over that a little since he just bought an 06 GT Mustang.  Now is is crusing forums that talk about how to get more air and fuel burning to wake up that little monster.  Oh My!  Naively I thought the purchase of the car was the end.   And sorry CEEJ, but the reds really are a little bit better, that is just the way it is.  haa haa haa!
