Its not a hard job but and involved job. You will need cable extensions for the wiring, a new clutch cable and brake line. 8 hours is a bit high for the swap.

Yeah 8 hours works out to be like $800.00 and that seemed like more time than needed. Thanks for the reply

I changed my bars for a total cost of about $325.00
that includes the $100.00 for the bars, $25.00 for the harness extension kit, '09 clutch master cylinder (to fit the new bars), throttle/ idle cables and clutch line.

did all the work myself, and it wasn't as hard as you might think... :2vrolijk_21:

I changed the bars on my SERG and of course nothing went right.  BTW, increased the size to 1.25 and changed the clamp.  Don't forget that the fairing has to come apart and anyone changing bars without removing the tank has larger nards than me.  8 hours at the dealer-would have been cheap but would everything have worked? :cherry:

Bars are custom modified Carlini's.  Never figured out how anyone measured bars (that is why these are modified) but sure are comfy-leaning against the backrest, tunes turned up high, cruise control on and feet on the pegs-does it get any better?

The bars were originally 16" Flyin Apes by Carlini.  These were way wrong for what I was trying to achieve so instead of returning them I cut and modified them to suit my needs.  This was challenging because the bars have a radius bend (arch) that I wanted to retain, also tweaked them enough to get the width to 34.5" which is 36" with the grips installed.  Real comfy
