Legend Air Shocks Compressor gremlin
« on: November 04, 2009, 07:16:52 AM »

Anyone have any ideas on why my air shocks compressor would develop a mind of it's own and begin pumping without the switch being activated?  I was on the interstate yesterday dodging semi's when the bike seemed to 'change' in someway.....could not figure for a minute or so what was happening....the rear shocks were pumped up to max and I couldn't hear the compressor running......finally got off on a ramp and at a slower speed could then hear the compressor running.  When I flipped the switch to depress the shocks it stopped and finally the shocks deflated.  It didn't do it again, but I was wondering where to start my troubleshooting.  I don't like it when the bike starts acting like it's 'possessed'.  :nervous: har!  spyder

Could be a problem in the switch itself.  If you are like me and have the chrome switch you could swap it out for the black one that comes stock.  Kind of a pia to do but if it happens again worth a shot???  Could a chaffed wire cause this?  Good luck and let us know what you find.

I kind of figured the switch itself would be the place to start.  Still haven't looked for it since it hasn't had a repeat performance.  Maybe it was just a gremlin (gotta get more bells).  I don't have the dashboard switch.....got the earlier switch mounted on the motor.  I'll let you know when and if.  :drink:  spyder
