6-Speed Review
« on: December 23, 2005, 01:46:35 PM »

Ok, I remember promising to post a review of the HD Screamin Eagle 6-Speed transmission. I have no idea what thread it was, so I am posting it here.

Let me sum it up in a word. FANTASTIC!

Ok, now the review. It shifts super smoothly, engages with very little effort. The "throw" or the distance the linkage travels in order to shift it less then the norm...just feels "tighter" in a very good way. This is one HD part worth every penny! SMOOOOOOTH shifting at it's best. 70mph/2500rpm in 6th.  [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Glad to hear the good review, especially since I've already paid for mine to be installed at delivery.  I'm also going with the 3.37 gearing, so I should be about 2750 @ 70mph.

Yup, I love mine, don't know how I'll ever have a bike without a 6th again, it just feels right, haven't gone searching for 7th yet.

Hey what High flow filter you using??? The Ness??

Umm...errrrr..... I don't know.....dealer installed. The paperwork just says, "high-flow air cleaner". It was part of the tru-duals and race tuner install.

Good to hear the positive review of the tranny.  No mention of a whine when running in 6th?  I to have 1 on the shelf to be install when the bike arrives now some time in Feb maybe.  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
