I should have put the reciever in the hitch myself.  Look close, there's something wrong here.

Now I have to report that the Bushtec had a bit of an accident.  On the maiden voyage, I wanted to take it over to see BB and show it off a little.  Murphy showed up and then it happened.  While going down the hill by my house, I heard a scraping noise, I turned my head to see the trailer pass me on the right hand side, hit a Jersey Barrier, flip several times and almost hit me! It seems that the guy who installed the hitch into the receiver didn't secure the hitch pin that holds the hitch (only the 9/16" bolt).  The safety chain did in fact stay attached, but only to the hitch that had fallen out of the receiver.  Needless to say, I'm a little upset right now.  Stay tuned for rebuild #2 . :(

Just saw that on the other site also Matt.  Jumps right out at you but you'd never see it from the saddle.  He was no doubt unfamiliar and only used what he saw.  Still sucks.  Doesn't help a bit after the fact but there's a reason we do our own pre-flights.  Still a damn shame.

Nice  :2vrolijk_21: Job I love how the lights look on the back - it is like the back of the new camaro.

Sorry to hear about the accident but really glad you are ok - which is the most important thing.

You built a Awesome trailer the first go around and I m sure you will build it even better.

I hope the hitch guy is throwing in to cover your repairs.

T-Mac,
Ain't gonna happen!!  No means. It's gonna stay f$%*ed up till I get the urge to fix it...I have way too much going on at my place right now. Too many people, too many problems with friends.  I'll get it sorted right quick, but the end result still sucks!!

THX,

_Beags.
