klockwerks exhaust
« on: November 10, 2009, 01:35:47 AM »

I see the klockwerks ss pipes on sale for approx 300.00   they even have the slash up so you can keep the lines of your bags. Has anyone heard these? I am thinking of going with the v&h basics as they are 4" dia and sound good, although I still havn't decided wether to remove the cat or not. Thanks for the help. :pepper: :cucumber:

Cat remove is a "must be"- first step .

My brother has the V&H 4" basics on a 2009 Ultra (not an SE). The 09 stock Ultra doesn't have a cat. My brother believes the performance has definitely improved particularly after tuning the bike with the Supertuner using SmartTune. I've ridden behind him and the sound is definitely better than stock. I would rank it as good but nothing like the Rinehart TDs he had on his RK or the Big Shot Longs I had on my Fatboy. Not even close.

I would say they sound slightly better than my SE Ultra stock mufflers with the 2.25" Fullsac baffles. Of course, this is all my subjective opinion based on the sound of the other pipes I mentioned.
