It's been posted on this forum that the Arlen Ness Big Sucker Air Kit (18-500/18-501) will fit the 2006 bikes, this is NOT the case.  I picked up an Arlen Ness Stage II Air Kit today, identical backplate to the Stage I Kit just a different filter, it won't go on without major modification to the backplate, which would probably render the venting portion of the backplate useless.  It's also been stated that Arlen Ness knows that this will fit the '06 bikes, actually, talking to them today, they have known that it WON'T fit the '06 Injected bikes since the '06 hit the market and have never stated that they would fit.  I'm now stuck with an Air Kit I can't use, hopefully I'll be able to make something of it when the HD dealer opens back up tomorrow, maybe put the Stage II filter on the SE Air Kit backplate.  Arlen Ness doesn't expect to have a backplate available for the 2006 Injected bikes until late January early February.

Yeah it's the distributor, can't blame them really, they told me it wouldn't fit, I argued that it would.

I got a new one never opened. Someone on here posted it would fit even with the stock cover? I guess I will see if ness will take it back.

Yeah send it back if ya can, won't do ya no good on an '06.
