HOG HUNTING PHOTO TAKEN  ON RIVER ROAD  ,

NEXT TO I-75 & U.S. 41, JUST SOUTH OF  NORTH PORT  ,  FL

TOWARDS ROTONDA WEST AND  ENGLEWOOD  ,  FLORIDA

The trick is teaching them to let go of the Hog, once they've caught it.

I used to live in Florida - built houses in the Boca Raton area - gators used to come right up to the back of the houses and the other contractors would feed them part of the lunch. BIG gators I always said what a bad idea it was to condition them to come up to the house.  I would be very worried about letting my children play in some of the back yards where I built homes.

It is a surreal feeling to be fishing in a pond (area called stick marsh, runoff from fields near Sebastian) be in a 16' bass boat and have a gator swim by you the same size as your boat :-X !  Bass boats sit low in the water so you literally could flip him in the head with your rod - I Didn't ;D just saying you coulda.

When I lived in LA they have gator farms where they raise them for meat and for their skins.  They are actually afraid of humans being conditioned by being raised in captivity.  They are Really Marvelous creatures up close.

Around here e use pit bulls to hunt hogs. I will say that is the ugliest pit bull that I have ever seen and I'll bet it doesn't mind too well either!

Visited a good friend of mine once in Zachary La., took me out in the swamps in his bass boat (80+ mph), seen all kinds of gators, a little too close for comfort.
