I am doing a conversion on my 2004 road king to a electra glide do any of you know what the differences in a main wiring harness from a 2003 electra glide part # 70985-03 and a 2004 main harness part # 70985-04 may be ?

Just in case this really is a serious question; it's everything that is different between the bikes from the tank forward.  Instrument locations, audio system, lights, etc.

Can't provide particulars, but the consequence of using the '03 harness will be that you can't use the '04 interconnect harness.  The consequences of that (interconnect harness differences) are in the HD cruise control kit, spun aluminum gauges, and other electrical mods you may want to make in the future.  You'll find that the '04 and newer bikes have more electrical accessory options available than '03 and older.

Sometimes you just have to sit down and study the wiring diagrams to get an answer to a question like this.  Good luck with your project.

I already have the interconnect harness part # 70232-07 and the Harmon Kardon Radio # 76160-06 and for Twolane rider i also have a ultra gas tank inner and outer fairing all of the hand controls and yes this is a serious question. I was wanting to know if anyone on here knew of a major difference in the main harness from 03 to 04

Apologies for the negative inference.  Part of the question is very obvious as the differences are large.  Coupled with it being you're very first post one never knows when someone is yanking a leg. 

Besides the obvious differences others are several but far more subtle.  You're easiest option might be to consider adding a bit more than just the complete fairing and tank for the conversion.  Get a harness that matches the parts you're using for the converstion.  Rather than mixing and matching across the changes before and after 03-04 and Road King to E-Glide having a complete kit will make your task much easier. 

Harnesses are sometimes not scarily priced new.  The few salvage places are good options too.  And, a little surprisingly to me anyway, they show up on eBay with some regularity.

The main wiring harness for a 04 glide list's for $564.00 at the dealer. That is why I was trying to find a used one I have been looking on line E-Bay and other sources I can find and have had no luck except for one I have found for a 03. I dont have a wiring diagram for a 03 for the main harness that was why I posted this question to some of you that may know if there are any difference in the two. As for the interconnect harness they are as far as I can tell the same from the wiring diagrams in the Harley Service manuals anyone with any helpfull info would be appreciated
