Exhaust Change.
« on: November 14, 2009, 11:53:29 PM »

I ordered a D&D Fatcat from hdpipes.com. I have Thunderheader Slipon's, S.E. Stage 1 Air Cleaner, 95 inch kit, Head quarters cams, do I need to re-dyno my bike? Help me out guys. I need the gear heads to chime in on this one...

I keep forgeting things and adding what I have. I'm getting old ya know!

Just mufflers, no not really.  The new head pipe claims that no tuner needed...I dont see the point is dropping that kinda cabbage on mufflers or pipe and not adding an air cleaner and tuner to get the most out of it.  Just sayin, been wrong before and will be again...

Cheapest performance for the buck.

If I read the original post correctly, we are talking about a 95" FLTR w/SE AC, HQ cams, and Thunderheader slip-ons. In this case, the increased flow characteristics of the D&D over the pre-2009 headpipe will significantly change the Volumetric Efficiency and should be tuned to maximize performance. A Mastertune TTS would allow you to make the changes without the expense of more dyno time.

I got the D&D Fatcat in their model #506-32B. On the inside it has a bung hole that's plugged. Will that hinder my performance?

yep, if nothing else has been done
Playa, if I may, you need a tuner of some sort. all the stuff means nothing if you're not tuned correctly. my .02 TTS Mastertune

The bung hole is to allow installation of an O2 sensor. Don't worry about it on your '06, just leave it plugged.
