Wouldn't it look better smaller and centered--IMHO

It is centered there are 2 more screens one left one right that is the center home screen it is reduced to 960x854 thats what the phone reduces it to still work in progress  :2vrolijk_21:

It takes time to work on these things--especially when the phone first comes out..... :2vrolijk_21:

tried an iPhone for a month, tried a Storm (gen 1) for a month. Played with a Storm 2 for a few hours.

Got the Moto Droid 3 weeks ago - not turning back.

for all you "the iPhone is the greatest thing since sliced bread but the service sucks" folks:

10Ways Android beats the iPhone

I have a Motorola Droid with the version 2 software. Neat phone. Great apps so far. Should fit nicely in between my i+pod and the XM service I canceled.

No screen protector, I watched a video on you tube of some guy trying to scratch the screen with keys - tough stuff.

Wish it had pinch and squeeze like the Iphone but maybe the keyboard makes up for it.

That is coming, but I don't miss it.

I have heard negative comments on its keyboard so far but havent been able to get my hands on one as of yet....reo

The touch keyboards work pretty good and the predictive text is awesome.

I downloaded the manual and haven't looked at it once yet.

Although I may have to see if I can get the music player to output to bluetooth to connect to my Scala headset!

I would definitely go with the Droid.  I have Sprint and went with their HTC Hero with Droid.  There are hundreds of applications available and the touch screen is very responsive.  It's a great operating system.  I just hope the lawsuits that Apple is bringing against HTC doesn't shut things down.

I see At&T just renewed their contract with Apple and the iPhone. I was really looking forward to getting the iPhone but I hate AT&T. >:(

As do I.  Wonder how many phones Apple would sell if not isolated to AT&T?  spyder

Well the rumor was by mid summer, but that seems to have fallen flat.
The browser on the Droid is better anyway, and you can get Verizon, which BTW was the only cell carrier where we stayed in Georgia last year.

Verizon alienated Apple with their anti IPhone commercials and wont get it any time soon. I know we all embrace our choices emotionally and hold on. AT&T's service is no better or worse than Verizon. Their billing practices and customer service though are very superior. I had 47 lines with Verizon and it was a full time position in my accounting to keep up with Erroneous billing.

Switched all to Nextel and the service was lacking but the costs and billing improvement made it worth it.

After Switching to AT&T we got the improved (Equal) Service and much improved customer service and no billing issues.

The Droid is cool, as are Blackberry's but they're no IPhone as a Technology reseller, experience shows it is the most capable device yet introduced. Functionality is important and it has that. The main attraction though is the intuitive ease of use. There is almost zero time needed to become fluent in the ease of use.
