A friend of mine has a silver flat mat Street Glide and he said the only stuff that really works unfortunately is the H-D cleaner from the dealer  :nixweiss:

Soap, Water & A Sponge. It is clearcoated, they just use flattner in it. Nothing special here. Treat it like any other paint.

I have a '10 in Satin Pewter and the book says to use the HD Sunwash cleaner.  The book says to skip the polishing and waxing though, should you really never polish or wax the flat surface?  I live in FL and the sun is brutal; I'm not so crazy about never waxing the thing...

I'd use a non-wax spray-on polymer if you don't want to put actual carnubba on it.

Whatever you use, you can't treat it like "any other paint"! The denim colors (and any similar) will change substantially in appearance if not treated well. And you can't "polish it out". If you do not wish to change the color too much, you have to be careful, use lots of clean water and no abrasives at all.

Hope this helps,
Louis

Agree, I would DEFINATELY not risk any substances or polisihs of any kind on matte/denim finishes.

Bit of soap / mild car wash, water, soft clean sponge and thats it.

You use any polish over time you'll get a washed out / glazed look.

Also for you need to avoid any amonia or nasty stuff in the detergents.
