2010 V&H Power Duals Installed
« on: November 21, 2009, 08:25:43 AM »

Finally got my V&H Power Duals in. Here's the Dyno. The first run is with V&H Basic 4" slip Ons, High Flow Fuel Injectors and SE Pro Super Tuner. The second is with the addition of the Power Duals. After riding the bike for 2800 miles with the first tune then adding the Power Duals, the difference is not only on the Dyno sheet.

I haven't had it in heavy traffic yet. It is pretty cool here this weekend and its hard to tell with normal riding. It couldn't hurt. Was in Gatlinburg TN week before and despite the cool temps it sure did get hot but so did my other two Ultras. Mo Co says that's what there designed to do. If they couldn't take it why would almost all police departments us them.

Redrodo,
What size injectors did you change to and why? The stock injectors are more than adequate for your mods. I'm not positive about the 2010, but compared to an '09, your numbers look low for what you have installed. Torque is notably low below 3k RPM. A good dyno tune should produce about 95HP/110TQ with similar mods.

Slip ons are Mufflers and the Power Duals are Header pipes.

Unless V&H has changed something you can do exactly what you say... buy slip-ons first and headpipes later. Rinehart is one of if not the only that there headpipes don't match any other(s) mufflers (slip-ons).

Yeah you can do it however you want, I honestly forget what they cost (Power Duals) "redrodo" is going to have to answer that one.

I've seen them for sale on E-Bay. Do a search and you should find plenty of them available. I like the idea of the power but I am still trying to decide if I like the look. I certainly like the crossover under the frame. I wish V&H would have camouflaged the "X" with a heat shield that looks more like the the stock Harley.

V&H Power Duals are $519. Don't forget that there is a difference in  2009 & 2010. O2 sensors are bigger in 2010. You can add slip ons, then head pipes later but the bike needs Dyno tuned each time. The only reason I did it separate was that the head pipes were not available until two weeks ago and I just didn't like the factory mufflers. As for the high flow injectors, the ones installed were SE part # 27796-08. The service manager at Lexington Harley said that you would get smoother throttle responce and the injectors are pretty much open at 90%. Most people keep adding air and never think about allowing more fuel flow. I'm no tuning Tec so I leave it up to people who are suppose to know more than me. Dyno print out sheets are neat to look at but you must remember that the same bike on differate machines with differate Tecs will probally have differate numbers. I just like the obvious increases with the head pipe change.
