Rear Brake Grind / Shimmy While Braking Under 10 MPH
« on: November 21, 2009, 06:07:42 PM »

I started noticing this braking problem about 7,000 miles while riding 2 up, ''not nearly as bad with single rider''. Seems like a grinding and shimmy while rear braking under 10 MPH during light or hard brake. My local dealer looked at the problem at the 10,000 service and now at the 15,000 mile and getting worse.
The service manager agrees there is a problem but doesn't know how to correct the problem. The rotor and pads look good, can't hear it while free wheeling / applying brake. We've contacted MOCO's regional service manager...he hasn't of heard of this before..

 What are your suggestions??

Rear rotor out of round have the dealer check the spec. Will cause pulsating during braking.

I know this is an older post but was wondering what the cause was?  Anyone else experienced this?
