Only if he (and bike) don't head to somewhere warm where he can ride it more often. As long as he stays in the "frozen tundra".... you may be able to hedge that bet. :nixweiss:

Well I've had couple breaks in the weather so I could ride my "shop" bike. This is a great scooter.

The motor has no valve train noise. The "heat" is way down on this motor compared to my 117 ci but that's to be expected. The power is smooth and predictable.  While still breaking the REMAN motor in (has only 300 miles on her) she has OK low end torque. Still keeping her below 3500 rpm but she gets there pretty quick. I think my daughter 95" in my ol Fat Boy is stronger tho.

I did not know the Harley rear shocks could actually be this good. Cruises very smooth.  Must have lucked into a good set. I no longer own a Harley air pump so I don't know what they're set at. Front end is not so good but I'm going to try the Ricor Intimidators.

I definitely need a C&C seat on her. The OEM seat is way too soft and wide. The handlebars come back like a wheel barrel too much for my taste. May try the Flander's 10 Mini Apes.

She is not a hot rod but is a great around town / touring platform. I'm going to leave her alone as long as no motor issues arise. It is nice to have a bike I can just toss my leg over and go. It is a shame I had to go to an older Harley to get the reliability I'm looking for.

Now with how things work for me, they will finally find my 08's electrical problem and have really fixed it this time. Just means I'll have options and decisions to make on which to ride, where!  :P

Well I started making her mine.

Changed the rear brake lever out to a billet style which is extended and lower. Walter's Workshop part.

Billet style shift levers. The front was one of the OEM shift levers from my 08 SERK. I added an extended rear lever. Again the part is from Walter's Workshop.

and a new exhaust, BUB 7 True Duals. I love their sound! Something to do on a rainy/icy day. Still no mods planned for the motor! Leaving that stock!

Looking good Jeff, I got hooked on that rear shifter too.

Take it slow, could be a long winter.

Jeff, don't listen to Gary! :P  He said I couldn't do it either, but it can be done!  I only have a Ness Big Sucker A/C and custom SERT map in the SERG.  Bike's still a blast to ride! :2vrolijk_21:  And, at least with the BUB 7's, yours actually sounds good! :( ::) :)

You got that right. I'm already tired of winter. Hunting seasons about over, then Christmas will have gone by then....
Come on spring. It's time to ride!

Time will tell.... for both of you.

I'm betting Jeff will not last as long as you have though. :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

Jeff how are the cam chain tensioners?? Is upgrading to an aftermarket gear driven cam an upgrade?? Guess it's all depends on who you ask.. :sneaky:  :wiseguy:
