09 front wheel on a 04flht
« on: November 26, 2009, 06:35:02 PM »

In need of a new front wheel for my 04 SEEG

Looking at a Harley Reaper 40790-09

it requires replacing the front rotors for 18" ones, but nothing about the callipers

Why can't I use the stock ones that came with the 16" wheels :nixweiss:

You can't control the weather, only how you deal with it

The Reaper has the new open-wider bolt configuration for the rotors.

Gives the wheel a larger profile

Can you mount the 09 and later wheels on the earlier tour bikes? Thought the axle size changed. But I'm no mechanic.

You can mount an earlier year rim on a bike if you change out the bearings to the correct size
