What would be the milage recommended on the Brisk plugs?  I still have the stock plugs in the bike at 17K.  Thanks

A pair of triple platinum HD plugs cost me $11.86 including tax.  So I bought 4 sets and I'll replace them every oil change.  No idea if they perform better than stock plugs, but for near $10 bucks every 6 months or so why the he!? not.

Ok, the only issue I have is the idle runs high every now and then when starting cold, no problems in the summer.

Your FI should be managing the idle at any temp.  When it's very cold the idle will be 2-300 rpm faster for the first minute or two.  Below are the defaults for Idle RPM.
Deg C      RPM
-16         1304
   0         1272
 16         1208
 32         1120
 48         1008
 64         1000
 80         1000
 96         1000

Thanks, I'll try changing the plugs for now and see how it performs.

On my 04 Road King Classic I changed plugs and put in a set of Champions.  About the same time I added a Ness Big Sucker and a V&H FuelPak.  I started having problems with teh check engine light coming on.  I got two different codes, one for a misfire in the front cylinder and the other for a misfire in the rear cylinder.  I suspected the FuelPak but adjusting it didn't solve the problem.  I then thought maybe it was the plugs so I switched to a set of NKG's, a brand I have run in other bikes with good results.  Still the check engine light would come on.  I finally took it to my Harley dealer and after much testing they determined it was the plugs.  Said I needed to run Harley plugs as the ECM measures the resistance and other things and if it senses one of these reading is not correct it sets the code and thus the check engine light comes on.  I thought they were full of it but I haven't had problem since they changed the plugs.  In the future I will stick with the Harley plugs just to not have the same problem.

Now that's a new one [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  I've gone through the entire race tuner manual on spark advance and retard and nowhere do they mention this.  I'm using the tripple platinum plugs now and haven't seen this problem.  Guess it make sence to stay with the HD plugs anyway.

Hey Dakotazeb, I've had the same problem on  more than one occasion, the code light on and couldn't find anything wrong.  The dealership checked and said it is a 'false code' and they attribute it to the Rienhart exhaust system.  Said they've seen it on other 103's that run that exhaust.  Don't know whether that's really it or not, but doesn't seem to affect the way it performs, just aggrevating.  These bikes are too danged 'smart' for their own good.  Har!  spyder
