Dealership Gift
« on: November 29, 2009, 12:27:04 AM »

Today I received a gift in the mail from the dealership that I bought my new bike from. I really like this sign, I'm going to hang it in the man cave garage. What other stuff have dealership gave to new owners.

That's nice :2vrolijk_21:... first one of those I've seen coming from a dealership.

Peterson in Miami sent me a framed plaque with the bike, vin number and my name engraved. The dealer in Germany hands out a pack consisting of a H-D backpack with the parts catalogue (!), key ring and registration wallet (pleather) plus a t-shirt. I did like the personalized plaque better ...

Ride safely,

My dealership, Space Coast HD in Pal Bay/Melbourne, Fl., gave me one of their kinda plain (but has their logo) T-shirts, and a coffee cup (which I traded for a HD baseball cap).  And when you pick up the bike, they take your picture on the bike against a wall in the service area which bears their name.  A couple of weeks later I received a copy of the picture nicely framed, in fact, a nice looking silver metal frame.  As it was raining when I picked up the bike, I am wearing full rain gear, but the picture looks pretty good so I put the picture in my son's room.

I have never been to Ben Breece but have talked to them by phone.  Other dealer's could learn from them for sure.  Nice sign Chris.

Ben Breece HD are the BEST!! They are one of the few that really care for their Customers. I also purchased my CVO from this dealer. I'm 220 miles from the dealership. They have handled multiple warranty issues for me over the phone.

I think all dealers should give there valued customers cool gifts not only when you buy a new bike.
Those that spend money on there service, clothing, parts to keep them coming back. Give them something
I think that is good business. Just my 2 cents.
And that is a cool sign.

That's a nice touch.   I had a great deal on my CVO, but I couldn't even talk them out of a free T-Shirt.  lol

I got one of the obligatory "I got mine..." on the front with the name of the dealership on the back T-shirts when I dropped my $4K over MSRP.   :bananarock:

I also got a promise that they would throw in a pair of riding glasses.  That was on the Wednesday before the bike actually arrived.   :)
Then, I got an excuse about why they couldn't follow through on the riding glasses on the day I wrote the check.   :nixweiss:

Next I got a call from the finance manager after they received my comments on the survey that gets sent out.    :o
During that call I got another promise of taking care of the first promise mentioned above.   ;)

After that I got nothing... no follow up call, no fulfillment of promise... nothing.   >:(

So that's what that dealership will get out of me from now on... NOTHING.   I don't really care about the glasses, I just hate liars...

Sorry... had to vent... tomorrow's Monday...  :soapbox:

Funny... all I got from my dealer was a personalized payment book.
Now that I think back... I got one of those t-shirts too, that say, "I got mine from...". Then about two weeks latwer I got a card in the mail that had a couple coupons in it. One was for my first oil-change/service for $50, and then another one for 25% off any accessory. I was telling this to one of my buds who bought a bike there a month or so later, and he never got the coupons.
