I redesigned my speaker pods to better blend form and function.  I recessed the speakers ½ and opened up the opening to 7” which should allow most any speaker grill to be used.  I am also working on a flush mounted grill that will drop in which should cover most any speaker.  The pods were also re-angled from 6degree to 18degree to better point the speaker at the rider.  I cast the recess for the upper motor mount in the left pod as well as build a recess on the right pod for better front rocker arm cover clearance.  I had planned to color match these as well, so while I was in the paint I also painted the inner part of the lowers, as well as the pop-in vents.  All in all I’m really pleased with the outcome.

Close tolerances to the tank?  With those added to the already installed lowers any concern about shutting down a bit more airflow?  Hard to tell but looks like the new pods might actually channel air away from tather than around the motor just a bit.  Sure look nice though.  Nicely done.

Yes, things are close.  There is 1/2 clearance.  Raising the angle on the speaker more toward the rider, reduced clearance.

I wouldnt think they pose a problem.   The majority of cooling air is coming from the front, between the lowers.

Ive not wind tested them, so Im not sure about the true movement of air, however, I really dont think there is an issue.

Yes, I plan to produce some sets.  Im currently buried in projects, and I anticipate the first of the year before I can put attention toward it.
