Cigarette Alternative
« on: December 01, 2009, 03:40:40 PM »

I have been a heavy smoker for 40 years and have tried almost every product out there to quit (pills, patches, hypnosis) with-out positive results. Of course a big part of my problem was that I REALLY liked smoking.
About three weeks ago I ordered an e-cig kit ---- produces water vapor instead of tobacco smoke ----and voila -- I am done to about 3 cigs a day from 35+, with no cravings. Looks like I am finally on my way to being a non-smoker, which will leave me with a lot more $ for chrome  :2vrolijk_21:

I'm always impressed by the people who can do it "cold turkey". I guess that is the one place that I come up short on will-power.
Sure glad that I never got serious about drinking, I'd really be screwed  ;D

Don't be impressed. My 4th try at "CT"! But this time I'm serious, and consider myself a non-smoker now. The previous 3 tries were half-assed attempts, and I went back way before 2 months each time! ??? :o :)

So, with the new job, I save $2500/yr on parking for work (they have their own lot), and close to 4 grand/yr not buying cigarettes! So that's an extra $6500 to spend on my bikes each year! GREAT TRADE as far as I'm concerned!!! ;)

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/

Lots of info there
I tried the NJoy model first - didn't make the cut. The one I have had good luck with was the 510 series as seen here http://www.zigcigs.com/default.htm
he has some good you-tube video explaining the system

As per my first post -- I didn't like the first one so I went to the kit from ZigZag (510 model). I presume it will last a significant amount of time as the batteries are re-chargable. I have ordered more "juice" (this is a consumable so it must be re-plenished) from  http://www.johnsoncreeksmokejuice.com/  but haven't received it yet .

Like you, my wife and I LOVE the Smoking Everywhere E-Cigarettes!  It's been almost 2 months since either of us have had a "real" cigarette!  Really covers the cravings, etc, as well. I flew from Ft Lauderdale to San Jose a few weeks ago and "had a vapor" in my seat somewhere over the midwest!  It was really nice to be able to do that.  I also love the looks and comments in restaurants, etc.  Once the know what it is, they all want info.

HeHe!!! Yeap! But I'd have to spend it all at once for that. Then it'll take me a year, instead of buying chit for these bikes a lil at a time! ::) ;D :2vrolijk_21: ;)
