Std RG seat rubs on gas tank
« on: December 01, 2009, 10:29:53 PM »

I loved my stock RG seat on my 08 so I put one on my SERG. I got to thinking the other day that maybe I better take it off and look at it where it was touching the tank. It is definitely starting to mess up the clear coat. Anybody have any suggestions on protecting the tank. Thanks, T.

3M chip guard clear film. Ask to locate it in the 3M catalog if they don't stock it at your local paint supply store.   I applied it to the top of the glove boxes to keep the paint from showing wear from use. It is transparent and is just like the film HD applies to the rear fender to prevent wear from the seat. It comes in a roll, you pre cut and apply.  :drink:
