Updated: V&H Hi-Output Slip-Ons are 4.5"
« on: December 02, 2009, 03:21:03 PM »

Just got my Vance and Hines Hi-Output Slip-Ons in and measured them. They are in fact 4.5" wide so should fill the holes a bit better than stock (4").

No pics yet ... head pipes are still on back-order. THIS IS KILLING ME!!
All I did was pull one out enough to measure the end but almost FREAKED when I saw it.
Absolutely a thing of beauty.

Just got a call from my dealer that my V&H Power Dual headers came in yesterday, so they are shipping and in the warehouse, so I don't understand why your dealer can't get them... :nixweiss:

Probably because I didn't order the Power Duals.
I'm just guessing as to the reason though ...

 ;)

Here is a tip for what it's worth ... replacement O2 sensors for the SESG are about $40 each. I have two new ones in hand for when my head-pipe setup arrives. I'll leave the factory ones in the factory head-pipe. To me, it isn't worth $80 to change them out for whatever reason - I'd rather just unplug the wires, pull the pipes, swap with the stock pipes, plug the stockers back in. Just fyi ... the part numbers are different for the front and the rear O2 sensors on the 2010 SESG:

27729-10     SENSOR, OXYGEN (O2), REAR CYLINDER
27809-10     SENSOR, OXYGEN (O2), FRONT CYLINDER

I decided to go with the Master Tune ... so this combination should be rather easy to return to stock if I ever need to.
From being on this site .... I'm like - "What's $80 Bucks?"    :drink:

Call it practice  :huepfenjump3: and install them anyway! I installed my slip ons the day they came and a week later installed the head pipes.

That gave me the opportunity to video with the Cat and after the Cat removal. Might be nice to have and post for those still deciding? :2vrolijk_21:

Naw ... I'll wait. I learned long ago that mods sometimes don't pan out, and I never learned how to write in the "maybe" vernacular.   8) (lol)

And if I have to wait ...
Did I mention IT"S KILLING ME!!

Correct .. I just talked with Jenni at Tri-County and told her I wanted the Hi-Output Slip-Ons.
I guess it is the same part number for Chrome or Black, but you should check with her.

Pics will be up just as soon as the pipes are installed.
Wouldn't hurt my feelings if 500 people called V&H and told them to rush my pipes to me!!

I knew I'd take the chit for not posting up pics ... but thought it was worth it to let folks know that the rear tips of the HO Slip-Ons are 4.5" versus 4".

Ya win some ... ya lose some.  :)

Oh. . . .   BTW, thanks for the info on the size of the tips.  I was hoping for 4" plus.  Don't want you to think we don't appreciate your hard work and thoughtfulness for sharing this info. :bananarock:
