Yeah I agree. I was a little apprehensive at first but it kind of blends in wth the frame.

I also received my recall notification this past week and have an appointment at my local stealer to have it done tomorrow!

Looks like we are off to the dealer again.  it seems the welds at the front of the fuel tank might crack in a head on crash and cause a fuel leak.

Had my recall performed while I waited at my local Harley Dealership yesterday. It only took them about 15 to 20 minutes start to finish, and its not at all visible really.

My frontal collision happened a little over a month ago on my 2010 SESG.  The 50mph straight on collision bent the frame at the saddle and made a half-moon dent in my tank when it flexed at impact but no fuel leak.  Local HD says they have never seen a tank bend like that before....

 Hey Grinner,

looks like you found a fix to the seat gap issue we are all suffering from. Just kidden!! Been there, done that and when I learned how to walk again, I burned that t-shirt.  Get well soon....Bird

RickC  -  Thanks to you and other forum members for the update; you’re right I did miss this discussion.  I’ve been out of pocket for the past ten weeks recovering from total knee replacement and I’m now just catching up. I’m so glad to hear this is not an invasive fix.  I’m going to have mine done ASAP.

SOB....Litterally  >:(
My dealer was being a nice guy and because I was doing some work on my bike during winter storage he mailed me my recall kit so I could put it on myself, win win, I thought. Came home tonight to find a chewed up piece of cardboard lying in my driveway.....put 2 & 2 together and discovered that the Harley recall package was delivered UPS and my two wonderfull dogs opened it up for me and disposed of the parts :-\ After a few swats over the fat heads with the chewed up box (there hiding from me now) :nervous: I did find 2 of the parts in the snow after kicking around. Maybe the other parts will turn up when the snow melts :drink: 1st time in my life I'm going to have to report to someone that my dog ate it  SOB

But now the dogs are safe. Withe newly ingested safety brackets, when they do a "10-100" they won't catch on fire.

Dogs are one of the best friends you can have and always provide many laughable moments in your day.

Obviously a miscarriage of justice has occurred here.  There is no way those two innocent looking dogs could have destroyed your package (come on, just look at those faces for Pete's sake), I'm betting that sorry UPS guy did it.

Just so you know, a few Milwaukee dealers will come to your house and do the work!
That's because we all have COLD, SNOW, and the dealers have NOTHING to do!
