Chrome Rear Saddlebag Guard Kit
« on: December 10, 2009, 09:53:51 AM »

J ordered and received this Chrome Rear Saddlebag Guard Kit http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524448770282&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374309149262&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374309149262&bmUID=1260456619626&bmLocale=en_US.
Now i was disappointed because the support bar is black and not chrome like my stock one is and i did not found anything in the description that this support bar would be black .
 Damn .
How is yours ?

Yep i remember seeing on the new bikes that the support bar is black?

Is is not possible to cut the original chrome bracket and drill a hole to mount the front guard?

But the original is lightly curved at the area where it has to be plugged into the guard . Keep us informed about the progress and the result .

Short answer NO. I had the kit out at my dealer and we removed the saddlebag and compared, the stock chrome bracket is curved to much to install.
