New CVO seat
« on: December 13, 2009, 08:57:12 PM »

Just pull out the heat elements out of the stock 2010 CVO seat and installed them in a standard Ultra seat from a 2010.  Now I have comfort and warmth. Plus my wife likes siting in the higher position for seeing purposes.

I have just bought a standard Ultra seat for my 09 CVO Ultra for the same reasons - my wife didn't like the CVO seat. Was swapping the heating elements over a difficult exercise and can you give any advice on doing the job?

Changing the elements out was not hard just a little time consuming.  You have to use a razor blade a cut the elements from the seat foam.  You can do it in a few hours with some patience.   I did find out that you can not buy just the elements from MoCo  you have to buy the whole seat which is what convinced me to do the swap. Plus everything is stock no to effect the warranty.
