Those are bolt heads. The legs move like a running steer and the head bobs. It has a cam running off the wheel that operates the legs and head.

The dog is my 6 year old female Blue Heeler "CatDog" . She is 35 lbs soakin wet. She is missing several teeth from getting kicked by cattle during sorting. She doesn't even yelp. Tough as hell. She rides with me everywhere I go, spends the night in horse trailer when I'm on the road, great little watch dog too.
